What is ‘Break the Pattern’ by Women Techmakers?

“Break the Pattern” is a globally recognized initiative organized by Women Techmakers, a community founded by Google employees worldwide, dedicated to inspiring, connecting, and amplifying the voices of women in technology. By opening our Giảng Võ Đường space for this event, we brought that global mission to a local stage right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.

Over 100 engineers, technologists, builders, and community leaders filled the room — and the energy was something worth talking about.

Inside the event: a day of tech talks, honest conversations, and hands-on building

The program featured three core sessions designed to bridge emerging technology with professional development:

• Tech Talks brought participants up to speed on cutting-edge tools and platforms — including Google Gemini, NotebookLM, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) — with a focus on real-world applications and practical implementation.
• Panel Discussion addressed the professional dimension of growth in tech, centering on the challenge of Imposter Syndrome and evidence-based strategies for building confidence and advancing careers in a rapidly evolving industry.
• Code Lab provided a structured, hands-on environment where participants built functional AI Agents using tools such as AI Extension and Antigravity — translating theoretical knowledge into applied engineering skills.
